One of the basic requirement for any project for its implementation is the Civil Engineering Works. It needs a lot of manpower potential - both Technical and Non-Technical. Civil Engineering thus plays a major role in the execution of major construction projects.
The primary objective of the programme in Civil Engineering is to meet the demand of the Construction industry. The curriculum is well designed to train the students by imparting all the necessary skills required to work in this field. The Department of Civil Engineering is well equipped with excellent laboratories. It has well qualified and experienced staff.
Presently the intake capacity to the programme is 120 1st Shift and 60 in 2nd Shift. The course is spread over a span of 3 years, each year comprising of 2 semesters. At the end of each semester, examinations are conducted by the Sate Board of Technical Education, Panchkula.
The boom in infrastructure like construction of roads, buildings, dams, bridges, railway
tracks, environmental works etc, not only in india but also across the world has created the demand for qualified Civil Engineers. It is predicted that in coming years demands of Civil
Engineers will become very high and will remain so for few
decades.
The Department of Civil Engineering covers all the aspects of Civil
Engineering in th curriculum. The curriculum of these programs
encompasses latest developments in the field as well as as present
day and knowledge of subjects but are also supported with sophisticated laboratories. The Department has decided faculty members
