MECHANICAL ENGINEERING

Mechanical engineering is a discipline of engineering that applies the principles of engineering, physics and materials science for analysis, design, manufacturing, and maintenance of mechanical systems. It is the branch of engineering that involves the production and usage of heat and mechanical power for the design, production, and operation of machines and tools. It is one of the oldest and broadest engineering disciplines.

It conducts a 3 year Diploma programme in Mechanical Engineering, each year spanning two semesters, with end examinations conducted by HSBTE. The sanctioned intake capacity is 120 students. Department of Mechanical Engineering has spacious, well equipped laboratories. It possesses an excellent, well qualified and experienced staff.

Students learn about fundamentals, simulation, manipulation, automation, Finite Element Method (FEM), Computer Aided Design and Engineering, Refrigeration and Air Conditioning, Automobile Engg, Design And Maintenance, Industrial Engineering, Unconventional Manufacturing Processes, Heat & Mass Transfer, i.C Engines, Production system management, Fluid System etc.
